Firelogs

A mixture of compressed sawdust and wax firedogs provide a convenient solution for lighting a fire. however, the products do not provide the same heat as traditional logs. Moreover, these products are not designed for use in wood burning stoves. Duraflame offer 9 firelogs across the range which we have outlined below.

1. 6lb firelog burns up to 4 hours, is fast lighting and reported to burn cleaner than wood.
2. Outdoor firelogs have been designed to crackle and are specially blended to allow cooking of camp fire food. Last your mallows and more…
3. 6lb renewable firelog are marked as being 100% renewable.
4. Overnight fire logs are designed for use in an open hearth and burn for circa 2.5 hours.
5. Duraflame indoor/outdoor fire logs have been curated to be used both inside and out in open appliances and fire pits.
6. 4.5lb Gold Fire logs burn with bigger flames and are marked as the premium product within the SKU by Duraflame.
7. Crackleflame ® fire logs create a soothing crackling sound when used in an open hearth or fire pit.
8. 2.5lb Gold Fire logs burn brighter with bigger flames for around 1.5 hours.
9. 2.5lb fire logs are designed to offer every day convenience.

How do they compare to Hot Box ® Firestarter

In short, the fire log range offer a completely different use to our own natural firefighter.

Firelogs are designed to offer a complete fire that provides more ambience than heat.

Moreover, they can only be used on open hearths and in fire pits NOT closed wood burning appliances.

In the UK, the. lifecycle of these products is limited by the fact that open fires can no longer be fitted in our homes.

Hot Box ® Firestarter provides a different proposition to Duraflame Fire logs.

Our product has been designed for use specifically in woodturning stoves.

However, it is not limited to closed appliances and operates equally well for Open fires, fire pits, BBQ’s and most applications.

Interestingly, some of our customers even use our product to light their annual bonfire on November 5!

Firestarters | Duraflame firelighters

There are 6 options in the range from Duraflame Firelighters which are as follows:

1. Firestart ® are individually wrapped firelighters which are designed for all types of fire. They burn for circa 30 minutes and are available in quantities of 12 and 24.
2. Firestart ® Gold are made with a blend of wax and biomes fibres. They burn faster and with stronger flames. Again, as above, they are individually wrapped and are available in cases of 24.
3. Quick Start ® are designed to be broken apart and used to ignite wood logs.
4. Stix ® are designed to replace kindling and be stacked under wood logs to ignite a fire in a range of appliances including wood stoves.
5. Firestart ® Cubes are designed to ignite both wood and charcoal fires.
6. Fatwood Firestarters, are designed to use as kindling or tinder with wood logs in a range of wood fires. They are resin covered kindling sections and offer a convenient solution for lighting a wood fire.

Comparison with Hot Box ®

Hot Box ® offers a complete firelighting solution and is capable of producing ferocious heat from a single pint of ignition.

The above products from Duraflame may require kindling to insist with heat generation during the initial phases of combustion,

This means a user will still need to store finding and wood logs.

However, with Hot Box ®, the need for finding is completely eliminated, all you need to add are logs.
